Sadly, I don't think I have the imagination, or the talent for that matter, to write it.

Margaret Peterson Haddix is my favorite so far. The Shadow Children Books rocked me.

I actually have read much more Adult novels than YA, which is odd considering some people still consider me to be teenager even though I'm nineteen and married.

When I signed up for HtTS (I'm wildhear90 by the way) the project I'm writing came by accident. I was Calling Down Lightening and it just hit me. I knew as soon as it came to me it was the idea I'd persue!Torihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06153081996702931969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6450712706274635827.post-16248693613788658992009-09-21T21:03:46.347-04:002009-09-21T21:03:46.347-04:00I read YA for the same reason I write it--I prefer...I read YA for the same reason I write it--I prefer it.

The Percy Jackson series is the best I've found in a long time (though technically, it's middle grade.)

Gail Carson Levine's Ella Enchanted is my favorite book. She has a great strong female character with an amazing voice. Seriously, I can't rave enough about that book.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08673008115756142503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6450712706274635827.post-32181041651103233512009-09-21T18:28:01.922-04:002009-09-21T18:28:01.922-04:00Yup, when I read Natalie Goldberg it helped me wri...Yup, when I read Natalie Goldberg it helped me write on a regular basis, and is part of the reason I'm working on a project now.

Are you reading more YA because you are writing YA? My project is YA...so I started bringing home piles of YA novels from the library.Torihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06153081996702931969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6450712706274635827.post-38913255507694118142009-09-21T14:31:22.206-04:002009-09-21T14:31:22.206-04:00Natalie Goldberg rocks! A book called "Wolf Tower," part of my read more YA plan...I do not like it. Going back to the library on Wednesday...

Also reading Amy Tan's "The Opposite of Fate". I love Amy Tan, and this book is sort of a memoir...interesting.Oliviahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07056018448109689782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6450712706274635827.post-32947874115425180582009-09-20T20:46:59.841-04:002009-09-20T20:46:59.841-04:00Currently I am reading: "Writing Down the Bon...Currently I am reading: "Writing Down the Bones" by Natalie Goldberg which is my weapon for writers block! I loved the bit about timed writing...
"Relentless" by Dean Koontz. He tends to mix genres writing horror/romance/supernatural/suspense kind of stuff. One of my inspirations to keep writing was him.
Holly Lisle's "Sympathy for the Devil". I started reading it a while back, but got sidetracked, so I want to start this one again.
Usually I'm reading quite a bit more...but i'm in the middle of writing so I don't want to overload myself on fiction.Torinoreply@blogger.com
